Music

To some people, music is a hobby. To some people, music is a job. To me, music is life. I can't imagine a life without music. If I were to go deaf at this very moment, I don't know what I would do! Days at school without my iPod I feel lost. Its an addiction in a way. Music also has the ability to affect your mood. Athletes are knows to listen to music to pump them up before sporting events. Michael Phelps has said he bumps Lil Wayne before every race! When im sad I like to listen to emo music, such as Hawthorne Heights or The Used. When I wanna pump myself up before a tennis match or something, I listen to everything from 2Pac to Slipknot to UnderOath to Lil Wayne! It is a very powerful thing and I love it!!"

So the past couple weeks have been pretty damn amazing!! I had Teen Institute where I met some of the coolest people ever, and had sooo much fun! The Sunday after T.I, I saw Hawthorne Heights with The Story Changes, Acidic and Broken End Stereo! It was pretty much the funnest and best concert I have ever been to!! That next week I saw the T.I crew twice!! And then tomorrow I am seeing New Politics at Club Congress with Morgan and Ruben!!
This very well may have been the funnest summer ever!!

Teen Institute..

Its amazing..Pretty much the best week of my summer. I get to hang out with some of the best friends in the world. Actually at the moment im sitting here in the basement of the dorms im staying in with those exact friends. Youth Mentors are amazing, The youth mentor coordinators are amazing, hell the whole yes program is amazing. The participants at Teen Institute have come so far in these past couple days. Oops I didnt even explain what Teen Institute is. Its a week long program at the U of A, where students from all over southern Arizona come and learn about Innate Wisdom. The youth mentors, which I am one of, lead Teen Institute and facilitate the learning groups. Teen Institute is probably one of the best things that has ever happened to me no lie.
I really dont want it to end.
So to the Youth Mentors, Gabi, McCarolee, Abby, Alexis, Shayna, Sebass, Jelly, Beatriz, Aleh, Alyssa, and our coordinators Eddie and Buddy, you guys are amazing and I love you all from the bottom of my heart.

Driving...

Its such a liberating feeling, being able to drive.You have such a sense of freedom when you can drive. Its also somewhat a right of passage for teenagers. Being 16 means you can finally get your license. Getting your 1st car kinda means you are coming into adulthood. I love driving, especially at night. You have the windows down..music playing...the wind blowing through your hair, unless you're bald of course. Alot of people hate driving at night but I like it more than driving in the daytime for some reason. Especially on a night like tonight. Its really nice outside, you can smell rain..even though it didn't rain. (Its the moisture in the air on creosote plants) And you just feel so free.
That's pretty much it for now haha This was going through my mind as I was driving home tonight =)

I just wanna say a huge thank you to Cathey, Diana, Eddie, Buddy, Bill, Dave, ALL of the Youth Mentors and the entire YES family! This T.I will be the best one yet and from the bottom of my heart I love all of you! I cant wait for next week =D

Nowhere Boy

Change is inevitable..but sometimes things change way to quickly. People..Time..Places..
But the good thing is that even if at the time it seems like a bad change..things usually end up changing for the better. People change..but they should do it on their own. I don't think anyone should have to change for anyone else ever. If someone trys to make you change they don't want you for you..they just want your outer shell with the filling of their choice. =P Time changes but you cant stop that.But I kinda wish you could save certain moments in time and like do it over and over again. Not like video..but its like you're actually re-doing it. I think that would be pretty awesome. And places change just because people are restless and get bored easily. They get tired of looking at or going to the same old places so they simply change some detail about it just to make it different. But eventually you've changed it so much that its nothing like it was. That's kinda sad if you think about it. Once somethings good people should just leave it, not keep messing with it and stuff.

So theres this movie coming out in October that I'm really excited about. Its called Nowhere Boy. Its pretty much the true story of John Lennon's early life! And as many of you know Lennon is like my idol!!

I'm really really excited about this movie! This will be a midnight premiere one fer sure and you will definitely be reading more about it on here later haha.

I wanna finish this off with something I read the other day.
One of my myspace friends asked the question: What does love mean to you? And this was one of the responses:
"Love is something everyone should feel at least once. its when you cant describe why you like someone. it makes you do things you usually wouldn't. its the best/worst thing you could feel"
